All the ladies who worked on the blanket.    Chris took this picture of everyone else who was there that night at Heather's house. Heather is in the back row with the green tank top on.

Close up of maroon Cardinal square make by Chris using acrylic yarn. This blanket was chosen

by a survivor of the VA Tech Shootings.

The black square with the little red heart was made by Heather.  The heart was made by using the intarsia method of knitting.  Heather was taught knitting by Judy days after Heather's father died.  Judy said knitting would help take her mind off of being depressed. Heather has now gone on to knitting very difficult patterns. I will have more pictures of items Heather and Chris have knitted. We enjoy knitting our own stuff, but we feel more complete when we "Knit for Charity" giving us a feeling of accomplishment when we knit for others who appreciate our home made items.

Heather and I put together 2 blankets. She and her mom put together another blanket.

And I did one by myself. I crocheted around the edges too.

I also picked one up that was already sewn together and crocheted around the edges to help the ladies at Mosic's in Blacksburg get them done. I only wish I took a picture of that one.

Knit Your Bit for our soldiers.

We knitted or crocheted scarves for soldiers of WWII.
